Suggested Reading:
The Bible (it doesn't have to be a King James version, but make
sure you have an accurate translation. My personal recommendation is the
New King James, which uses more modern English without compromising the
accuracy of the original version.).
Dressed To Kill, by Rick Renner (a MUST read). A Biblical approach
to spiritual warfare--best info on the subject I've ever read; Renner is
an incredible teacher, easy to follow.
How to Discipline Your Flesh, by Kenneth Copeland (also a MUST
read). Subject matter self-explanatory.
The China Study: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long
Term Health, by T. Colin Campbell, PhD & Thomas M. Campbell
II. This is by far the most important book I have ever read on nutrition.
The connection between "diseases of affluence" and their dietary cause is
spelled out in clear everyday language. This is an important book to
read, even if you ultimately do not choose a vegan eating style.
Diet for a New America, by John Robbins. Another exceedingly
important book on nutrition and the importance of a plant-based diet.
Creationist Diet, by Gary Zeolla. This is a great overview of
Biblical insight related to diet. Zeolla shares Biblical and
scientific information for everyone, from meat-eaters to strict vegans, and all
those who are still searching for an eating style that fits. I
recommend this book especially for those who want to eat healthier, but
still want options. This book will not make you feel like any one
eating style is being crammed down your throat.
Health Food Junkies: Orthorexia Nervosa: Overcoming the Obsession with
Healthful Eating, by Steven Bratman, M.D. Eating Disorders are not
limited to junk food or starvation. I am convinced that people can
become addicted to anything, including healthy eating.
Combat Faith, by Hal Lindsey. Learn how to crack the "faith
barrier." This message is timeless.
When We Just Can't Stop/Overcoming
Addiction, by RBC Ministries; send your request, mailing address,
& $1 for postage to Renovation, 811 186th Ave. Ct. E., Sumner, WA 98390.
Suggested Audio:
Fasting in the Fasted Life, Dave Roberson Ministries, P.O. Box
725, Tulsa, Ok 74101, (918)298-7729. The most incredible presentation of
the role of fasting and prayer in the life of a believer; includes info
pertinent to those wanting to "honor God" with their bodies by
taking care of themselves and why they should/need to do it.
