TRADER JOES WHOLE WHEAT BAKING MIX: Very handy low-fat mix for making pancakes, waffles, biscuits and coffee cake. I substitute it anywhere Bisquick or other baking mixes are called for. DR. TIMA HONEY ROOTBEER: Natural, great-tasting soda sweetened with honey! Nothing artificial. PACIFIC FOODS OAT "MILK": I've tried many rice and soy milks, but so many of them are either too high in fat, too sweet, or have an unpleasant aftertaste. Pacific Foods Naturally Oat Healthy Non-Dairy Beverage is just right, as far as I'm concerned. It would be nice if it was fat-free, but I can live with 1.5 grams unsaturated fat per cup. Contains 4 grams of protein for the same amount. It is more expensive than rice and soy, but I think well worth it. Ingredients for the Original are: filtered water, natural oat groats, and sea salt. R.W. KNUDSEN SPRITZER: Fruit Juice-sweetened "fizzy pop," as my children like to call it. We buy this natural soda in the 10-oz bottle 4-pack, but it also comes in larger bottles (I think 1 liter size) and in aluminum cans. I discourage the cans because of the aluminum. Comes in many different flavors, but our favorites are Red Raspberry, Boysenberry, and Strawberry. A typical ingredients list reads: sparkling water, concentrated white grape, apple, strawberry, and pineapple juices; natural flavors, grape skin extract (for color).
