by Tim LaHaye & Jerry Jenkins
Our heroes, pilot Rayford Steele and journalist Buck Williams, along with the rest of the Tribulation Force, continue their struggle to survive and protect their families in the midst of global war and destruction. They have come to recognize Nicolae Carpathia to be the Antichrist prophesied in the Bible, and to them it comes as no great revelation that this man, who presented himself as a charming and benevolent leader, has been unmasked as a ruthless and cruel tyrant, manipulating people and events to serve his own ends. And his ends are undoubtedly evil.

Customer Comment: Jodi Schoneman, rating=10: A fantastic account of how Life could be after the Rapture. This compelling novel about the Last Days and life on earth as the Rapture of the church happens is incredible! Everyone that I have recommended this book to tells me the same thing. "I couldn't put it down!" I read the book in 2 days and then was so frustrated I had to wait 2 more months for the sequel. I recommend this to everyone. This has really been an inspiration to be a better witness for Christ. Be prepared....you don't want to be LEFT BEHIND.
Synopsis: In this sequel to the bestseller Left Behind, Rayford Steele and Cameron Williams find themselves pressed into services for the man they believe could be the antichrist. Nicolae Carpathia takes over the United Nations, signs a peace treaty with Israel, and begins to lure the nations of earth together to form one global village. Meanwhile, the judgement of God begins to fall on the earth.
Synopsis: Our heroes, pilot Rayford Steele and journalist Buck Williams, along with the rest of the Tribulation Force, continue their struggle to survive and protect their families in the midst of global war and destruction.

C.S. LEWIS
Amazon.com Books: The Chronicles of Narnia is a true
masterpiece of the world's literature, and I have never met anyone who has read it and feels otherwise. This is one of the very few sets of books that should be read three times: in childhood, early adulthood, and late in life.
Customer Comment: rating=10: Lewis' "The Great Divorce" proves exciting and enlightening. Very rarely does an author impact me more than does C.S. Lewis, and very few C.S. Lewis books have impacted me like "The Great Divorce." A tale both of the desperation of the human condition and the glorious mercy of God, it is presented as a narrative about a bus ride from a dismal town in which the sun is always about to set to a bright shining place of painful realities. The book deals with humbling yourself, dying to yourself, and putting to death all that is unholy in your life to be raised up again as glorious. I often wonder why sometimes it takes a book other than the Bible to describe things of God so plainly and simply. Reading "The Great Divorce"
has made me see that in desiring God alone my desires for other things will die, only to be transformed into holy desires, good desires, true desires.
MAX LUCADO
Synopsis: A Chicago journalist finds himself in a small Texas town on Christmas eve. Lonely and alone, he encounters old faces and new facts.a hand-carved manger, a father's guilt, a young girl's faith. This trip into the past holds his key to the future, and a scarlet cross shows him the way home.
Customer Review (rating=*****): "In less than an hour last Christmas Eve, my understanding and experience of Christmas was forever changed. Cosmic Christmas gave me a new way to look at and understand God's gift of divinity in flesh to humanity. Wow...absolutely breathtaking. Definitely the best way I have ever spent Christmas Eve, and I highly recommend this book. Among the top 5 books I have ever read."
FRANK PERETTI
Customer Comment: rating=9: An exilerating adventure with an important moral lesson. This is another excellent work from Frank Peretti. While different from his other tales it is no less stirring. Peretti delves into the world of personal sin and the effects on the human heart. He uses profound insight into giving us a moral tale about the effects of sin. The Dragon is the destruction of characters of the book while sin is the destruction of our heart. While we all sin, the only protection we have is to care about it- to not quit striving for what is right. I would recommend this book to anyone. It teaches us a valuable lesson about sin, while entertaining us with a classic Peretti tale of the struggle of good against evil. ANOTHER MUST READ!
Customer Comment: rating=8: The visual battle is not always the real battle. This novel points, as many do, towards the Great Conspiracy. Except this time it's not the government or the really rich guys. No this time its the real deceiver Satan. This book is two stories, one of which is about a small town scandal and a little church that may be destroyed by it. The other is the war in the spirit world between the angelic hosts of God and demonic forces of Satan. The inter-relationship between these two stories makes the story powerful and enables the reader to better visualize our link to that spiritual realm we can only glimpse. Great Job by Peretti.
Synopsis: John Barrett, top news anchor for Channel 6, knows something is wrong. The story doesn't add up. It couldn't have happened that
way, and Barrett is determined to find the truth. Was his father's death really an accident? Or did he know too much? Another spine-tingling tale of deception, murder, and redemption.
Customer Comment: rating=9: Excellent story.....provocative subject Peretti is an excellent story teller. He also knows how to make a point. I feel that spiritual warfare is overlooked by many Christians. The reader must remember that this is one man's impression of what might be going on. But, I haven't found anything contradictory to scripture in the book. If this book incites curiousity in the reader, then he should look into the area for himself. I think that's what Peretti is after anyway.
Customer Review (rating=*****): "I first read this book when I was about 9 years old after hearing about it church. I loved the story then, even though looking back on it now, I don't think I completely understood it. I reread the book when I turned 20 when it was given to me as a birthday gift, and cried through the whole thing. It meant so much more to me now that I understood more, and had actually had close friends go through the painful process of of aborting their unborn children...It shows the loving forgiveness of a God who truly cares for His people. Even though the woman in the story sinned by taking the life of her child, she is forgiven and loved and freed from the horrible guilt caused by her decision. It serves as a reminder of His true deep love and compassion for the human race."
Synopsis: Frank Peretti sets the stage for this novel in a small eastern Washington wheat town. After a series of sightings of angels and messianic images, a self-proclaimed prophet mysteriously appears at a local ranch with a message. While most of the town receives the message with open arms, a burned-out former pastor trying to hide his past in Antioch has a different reaction. Now the whole world is headed to his backyard to find the Messiah, and in the process, every spiritual assumption he has ever held will be challenged. The startling secret behind this visitation ultimately pushes one man into a supernatural confrontation that will forever alter the lives of everyone involved.

Destined to be one of the most talked-about novels of the year, this book mirrors depression-era America through the experiences of the beloved characters from the Thoenes' bestselling Shiloh books.
Customer Review (rating=*****): "All of the Theone's books are wonderful. They provide historical insightfulness, well at the same time a wonderful piece of fiction. The main focus is always God and Christianity. These books are very inspiring and quite enjoyable."
Synopsis: An unforgettable story and a wonderful new
historical fiction series that moves from beautiful green mountains in the mid-America Valley of Shiloh to a neighborhood in an industrial town. A land of promise seems more like a land of hopelessness and tragedy, but the characters learn that God's eye always remains upon the sparrow.

Synopsis: The third book in the bestselling Shiloh Legacy

Customer Comment (in part): The year is 1936; Elisa Linder
lives in Austria as a vionlinist, and considers herself safe from the growing German persecution. With an Aryan mother and a Jewish-German war hero for a father, who would lay a finger on her? Soon, though, she realizes that a well-to-do family and a fake passport won't be enough to keep her safe.
Synopsis: The third book in the Zion Covenant series,
continuing the breathtaking drama of Vienna Prelude and Prague Counterpoint. 800 Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi persecution set sail on a battered freighter with no harbor that will take them in.
Synopsis: Jerusalem Interlude is the fourth book in the Zion Covenant Series. As Central Europe is served up on a platter to the Nazis,
the British Mandate of Palestine makes it nearly impossible for Jews to emigrate. How Shimon and Leah, along with some new-found friends, endure the life-and-death struggle is the subject of this engrossing book.
Synopsis: The compelling sequel to Danzig Passage, and the sixth book in the Zion Covenant Series, carrying on the life-and-death struggle to save Jewish children. Having overrun Czechoslavakia, German tanks now storm across the borders of Poland while Nazi planes bomb Warsaw into flames. Time is running out as the Nazis close in on the port of Danzig, point of escape for Jewish children.
Jerusalem Vigil unfolds over a period of five days during the British withdrawal from Jerusalem in 1948. Its Jewish, Christian, and Arab characters (including Holocaust survivors, British military officials, and Arab insurgents) find themselves drawn into a mysterious and violent tangle of events that can only be understood in reference to ancient prophesies, particularly those of the book of Isaiah. The historical detail of this book is impressively deep, and its use of Scripture is always clever and surprising.
OTHERS
