When reading this book I was able to understand some of the pain, struggles and joy that Jesus felt. He Still Moves Stones

In the Eye of the Storm (hardcover)
Customer Comment (rating=*****): This book is a reminder of that one thing we find so wonderful yet hard to understand -- that our Creator became one of us. It reminds us that Jesus shares in our pain, as well as in our joy, and that our God is not a distant God, but One who has called us "friends". Customer Comment (rating=*****): In our Christian lives we constantly strive for the, "peace that passes understanding". Once again Max has shown us that peace is not in the "striving". True peace comes from the realization within our heart, that we are held, "In the Grip of Grace".

In the Grip of Grace (paperback, large print)

In the Grip of Grace
Customer Comment: rating=9: Lucado uses Romans 7 to explain true grace. This book begins with a typical Lucado style, but quickly turns to the true meat of the Bible. Using real life examples, he turns Paul's cry of frustration and subsequent explanation of grace in Romans 7 into something that I could understand and see just what was happening in my own life. Now if he would only do a book on Romans 8. -Chris Flanders

LivRite Review: rating=9: I cry every time I read this to my kids! Wonderful, wonderful book. There are two lines on one page that I disagree with, but I just say it the way I believe--the rest of the book is so precious, that I still strongly recommend it to anyone who loves their children and wants them to know. G.D.

Just the Way You Are
Customer Review (rating=*****): "Max Lucado is a master of words. His latest children's book, "Just the Way You Are," is incredible. It is the story of 5 children trying to impress the King (in this case the analogy points to God) by their many talents and skills. One girl doesn't think that she has any talents or skills, but she does have a good heart. In the end, that is what counts the most to the King (God). If you like analogies, than you will absolutely love this book!"

Lucado 3 in 1: In the Grip of Grace/When God Whispers Your Name/Applause of Heaven (hardcover)

Max really knows how to let God speak through his writing in such a way that if a person reads his writing with an open heart they will feel like they are on their face in front of the Almighty. I highly recommend this book to Everyone."

No Wonder They Call Him the Savior : Chronicles of the Cross

No Wonder They Call Him the Savior (hardcover)
LivRite Review: rating=10: Lucado unveils the heart behind Jesus' death on the cross. No other book I have ever read connected me emotionally to Jesus the way "No Wonder They Call Him Savior" did. Tears came fast and furious, but they were mostly tears of awe and powerful love in response to His revealed love for me. My commitment to my very committed Lord was deepened tremendously. The message is short and to the point and it pierces the heart with accuracy. This is the book I routinely buy for new babes in Christ and those who are struggling in their walk. As far as I'm concerned, this is a MUST READ for all Christians.
