MAX LUCADO

Customer Review (rating=*****): "We all need to give, love, and forgive more and this story provides us with some great examples. Douglas Klauba's artwork beautifully compliments Max's latest endeavor. Our hearts are stired visually as we read along. With masterful use of composition, color, and design and characters with great emotion and expression, he leaves a lasting impression upon the reader."
Synopsis: There once lived a wise man named Shaddai who built a wonderful village for children to live in--and built a wall around it--because he loved them. One day the village's most curious child, Paladin, found a hole in the wall. Shaddai explained that beyond the hole was danger and that if Paladin went through it, he would not find his way back. Shaddai's response to Paladin's choice in this fully illustrated story reveals to children how very much God loves them, and the lengths He will go to help them.
Synopsis: Joshua, the black and white spotted lamb, longed to be like the other lambs. He wondered why he had to limp along with a crippled leg, instead of running and playing in the meadow. Because Joshua the lamb was different, he often felt left out. Yet God had a very special plan for his life, as He does for all who feel alone. Joshua not only witnessed the greatest event in history, he was able to give the newborn King the one thing he needed most.
Synopsis: A young boy with a gift for carpentry stays up late to finish a project for a contest and falls asleep in the workshop. Awakened by a bright light, he follows it to its source--a humble stable--where he finds a man, a woman, and a newborn baby lying in the straw.
Synopsis: Here's everything you'd like to say to your children about how much you love them. Perfect for gift-giving or an everyday reminder, this minibook wraps children in a warm message of love, comfort and protection.
Customer Review (rating=*****): "Max Lucado is a master of words. His latest children's book, "Just the Way You Are," is incredible. It is the story of 5 children trying to impress the King (in this case the analogy points to God) by their many talents and skills. One girl doesn't think that she has any talents or skills, but she does have a good heart. In the end, that is what counts the most to the King (God). If you like analogies, than you will absolutely love this book!"
Customer Review (rating=*****): "This is one of the most gentle and beautiful books I have ever read. It is the story of the prophet Elijah, nephew of St. Peter and friend of Jesus. This is such an outstanding book with first rate illustrations. It is an excellent teaching tool and a wonderful reminder of the message Elijah's mother imparted. Each time one gives to God, that gift is welcomed wholeheartedly and is never small to Him."
Synopsis: Three knights set out on a perilous journey to reach the king's castle, but the only one to reach his goal is the one who was wise enough to listen to the song of the king.
Synopsis: Like its companion, the bestselling Tell Me the Story, this lovely resource for families combines sensitive narrative and powerful illustrations to present stories about peace, forgiveness, greatness, coming home, growth, victory, and love, communicating the eternal secrets of Christianity as never before--in a way children won't forget.
Card catalog description: Short stories present the messages
of creation, the fall, redemption, forgiveness, spiritual warfare, and other
Scriptural passages; and can be used by adults to bring Christian fundamentals alive for their children.
Customer Review (rating=*****): "Este libro es perfecto para ensenar los ninos sobre su valor individual- es un instrumento buenisimo por los padres! Yo lo he leido con los ninos y adultos tambien y es un cuento que toca a todo corazon! EXCELLENTE!"
Customer Review (rating=*****): "This book helps children know that they don't have to believe the bad things others say about them...and interestingly, it helps them know that all the praise and compliments they receive in the world isn't the issue, either: what matters is that their Maker thinks they are special."
