Artificial flavors and colors, chemical additives, preservatives,
pesticides, hormones, and drugs present in or on plant and animal foodstuffs
are often, if not usually harmful to health.
READ LABELS. If you can't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't eat
it.
Did you know that livestock is routinely sprayed or dipped into hazardous
chemicals in an attempt to control pests and diseases inherent in foul
factory farm environments? These same animals are also often fed manure,
urine, contaminated fish products (pesticides and other toxins), animal
feed produced by rendering-plants, and feed containing plants sprayed
with pesticides. These chemicals stay in their tissues and are passed
onto the consumer, if the chemicals don't kill the animals first. The
higher up the food chain you go, the more concentrated the pesticides
become. Flesh foods, eggs, milk, cheese, and other dairy products have
high levels of pesticide residues. Therefore, don't be surprised that
PEOPLE who eat animal products have even higher concentrations in their
tissues.
