and other baby stuff
"Natural Nutrition" can and should start with infancy, at conception. Most of the time, a healthy mother and father produce a healthy baby. For babies to thrive and be healthy after being born continues to depend mostly on Mom and Dad. My plan is to develop this section to address the needs of pre-born babies and their mothers, as well as newborns, infants, and toddlers. Since I just had a baby of my own here recently, this process may be slow-going. Check back occasionally to see if I've gotten anywhere! Scroll to the end of the page for links to related baby topics. I hope to expand the links page as I find time to write and surf the net for interesting and valuable articles and websites. I have a few product recommendations for expecting parents and parents of newborns. I personally have purchased these things and LOVE them! They warrant my highest praise. For the record, I do not sell these items but am directing you to the websites that do with the links below. ENJOY!
My first two sons enjoyed Baby Songs and Baby's Busy Day (formerly "Even More Baby Songs") when we checked them out repeatedly from the library for years. Now, with my third son joining our family, I recently purchased these beloved videos.
![]() The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding La Leche League International This book is only available through this link used, as the title is out of print. But what a VALUABLE book! Even if you have already had children, if you are pregnant now or planning to get pregnant in the future, I strongly recommend getting your hands on a copy. This book is about so much more than just breastfeeding, but it is about the joy of mothering, or at least the joy it should and can be. In our busy world, babies can get lost in the shuffle--and not only are the babies damaged, but mothers, fathers, siblings, and the whole of society is cheated and profoundly affected. Over and over again this book confirmed and strengthened the deep longings in my heart that at times conflict with modern childrearing policy. I feel freer now to love and nurture my baby instinctively, in ways that are satisfying to both baby and to me. I don't feel as afraid of making mistakes when I am allowed to truly listen to my heart and to my baby's cues. Even if you think you know everything there is to know, read this book. It is a real heart-warmer and is like sitting down with a group of ladies and sharing both accumulated wisdom and fun chat. As far as I'm concerned, this is THE book for those women interested in excelling in mothering. Good stuff for fathers, too!
If you have had one or more miscarriages, have experienced difficulty conceiving, have fears about pregnancy and/or delivery, or just want to approach childbearing through the eyes and ears of faith, this book is a MUST. Even if you're already pregnant, it's not too late to impact your experience and the baby's experience with specific meditation on God's Word and prayer!
