Raw foods are live foods, teaming with nutrients and enzymes. Fresh, whole foods in their raw state are the most life-supporting. It makes sense that live organisms need live foods.

Raw vegetable and fruit salads can have unlimited variations. Here are a few other ideas:

Sprinkle freshly ground raw nuts and seeds over cereal, fresh fruit, or vegetable salad

Slice fresh fruits and place atop hot or cold wholegrain cereal

Chop up enough raw vegetables to last a few days and prepare a low-fat dip

Buy a juicer and make fresh vegetable and fruit juices (NOTE: Freshly extracted juices are full of live nutrients, but they are missing the fiber. You still need to eat whole fruits and vegetables every day.)
