I could not have made a better choice and for such a great price. Everything is explained in the book from buying Korean spices, to wonderful menus. The author has done a good job of keeping things simple for those of us who might be a bit intimidated.

Customer Comment (rating=*****): My new favorite Mollie Katzen cookbook! I love this book! Mollie's recipes are easy to follow, and just as easy to alter in personal ways. Her ideas are great for using as a base for your own experimentation. The three layer Persian rice pilaf is a must try. It's a beautiful dish when baked as a mold...your guests will bow down at your feet! Try using chopped apricots instead of golden raisins in the carrot-cumin rice mixture. Mollie is a food goddess!

This cookbook has recipes for fancy dinners to serve the "boss" and quick 30 minute meals to throw together after work. I got it about two months ago and I am thrilled with it. All of the recipes have been yummy and easy. One 30 minute favorite, "Black Bean Polenta Pizza" is not to be missed! My son asked me to make it when a friend came over for dinner.(The ultimate compliment). The Vegetarian Times Complete Cookbook costs a few more bucks, but it's worth it. This cookbook has everything you need to make quick, lowfat vegetarian meals your family (and friends)will love.
