Customer Review (rating=*****): "Great, flavorful cooking - healthy and FAST! This is my favorite cookbook, bar none. Sass's recipes are always very flavorful, and she offers a wide variety from which to choose. I'm not vegetarian, so sometimes I add a ham bone to the split pea soup, etc - works great. This is a great cookbook for anyone looking for healthy cooking, and recipes that are ALWAYS SUPER. Plus, who could argue with risotto in 5 minutes?!"
Customer Review (rating=*****): "A great cookbook for busy people! Although I have used and enjoyed other cookbooks by this author, I welcomed a new pressure-cooker cookbook that was not exclusively vegetarian. The recipes are extremely reliable, well-tested, designed to be made quickly and, best of all, the ones I have tried have been terrific. I highly recommend this book to anyone with a busy schedule. My particular favorite is a beef chili recipe that includes dried poblano chiles which gives the dish a deliciously smoky undertone."
Customer Comment (rating=****): The best of both worlds (raw and cooked). If you are looking for excellent raw cuisine, or if you are interested in great vegan recipes, try this book. Having experimented with both for 20 years, I find this book to be among the best in either genre. Almost every recipe I've tried is truly noteworthy, but the living foods recipes stand out as both delicious and easy to prepare. Highly recommended.

Customer Review (rating=*****): Great simple healthful recipes !!!!
As a long time vegetarian, I am always looking for new soy recipes to EASILY add variety to my diet. Louise Hagler's recipes are easy to follow; use common ingredients and are not complicated BUT taste great -- even to non-vegetarians. I especially appreciate the nutritional information given for every recipe.
Customer Review (rating=*****): "This is the best cookbook I ever read! I love how it was written. The author put together a great deal of information and arranged it in a interesting Q&A format. The recipes are very flavorful, appealing and easy to follow. It's becoming a true favorite in my kitchen. I never realized soy was so versatile and could taste so great! It's proving to be a handy book at my house. I know my family and I will refer back to it time and again. I highly recommend it!"

Customer Comment (rating=****): Just the first part of this book is worth the purchase price. It's time consumers begin demanding stevia on tabletops in restaurants. The first part of this book is a convincing argument for the use of stevia over aspartame, saccharin, and reducing the amount of sugar in the diet. The authors also give great tips on how to make your own concentrated liquid from the leaves or the powdered versions of stevia. I hope all persons who are interested in their own and their family and friends' health will read and use the information in this book.

150 Vegan Favorites by Jay Solomon has made me a success in the kitchen and has made the transition to the vegan lifestyle a breeze. My family members love these dishes and have never asked, "Where's the meat?"
Customer Comment (rating=*****): This book does not disappoint. The soups are flavorful and full-bodied. The entrees are imaginative and satisfying. And the desserts are divine, including a chocolate cake to knock your socks off. This is a sensitive point with me. When I want cake, I want cake....not whole wheat bread pretending to be dessert! I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to eat well without all the guilt of exploiting animals.
Customer Comment (rating=*****): Outstanding vegetarian cookbook
Like all of Lorna Sass's vegetarian cookbooks, this one is a winner. The recipes are not only very tasty but also easy and quick to prepare--perfect for people on the go. If you only buy one cookbook this year, choose this one!
Customer Comment (rating=*****): Clear and crisp ideas for optimal nutrition.
This book answers two questions: "Why should I think about 'nourishment' for life?" and "How do I prepare to have more nourishment in my life?. Good information and the inspiration to follow through. A Biblical approach to nutrition.
